Water Softener Consumer Reports

Water softener consumer reports are not exactly plentiful if you look online these days. Usually you can find some different opinions in forums in such but finding good Consumer Reports on all the different makes and models of water softeners is not as easy.Especially if you have a rare or uncommon water softener that you are interested buying. There are quite a few different brands such as Culligan, Kinetico, and Tapworks. Also there is;

This is just to name a few of the different water suffers on the market. What you are looking for in a water softener depends completely on your house and the application you require so one review on a particular water softer from somebody who lives in the peaks of Lake Tahoe will be completely different from the experience a water softer user will have in New York State.

The fact is is the water is completely different depending on what part of the country you go to and what water reserves are supplying your house. Each water softener has different faults and different strengths depending on their application.

Consumer Reports have been completely at odds with the facts if you read through any of the so-called Epinions or forum posts made by happy or unhappy consumers. Remember that when you hear or read a review or online report that is negative try to take it with a grain of salt (excuse the pun but since I’m talking about water treatment systems I couldn’t help but).

For every personal that has a complaint or a bad experience with a particular water softener don’t forget that there are hundreds of thousands of consumers who are very likely quite happy with the product. If you do see an obvious trend of multiple users complaining online about a bad softener then maybe you want to take that into account and avoid that particular system.

If you are going to make the decision all which softener you choose to purchase by reading different online reviews and Consumer Reports please take this into account;

Make sure that you read the Consumer Reports from people in your area who are using that particular make and model that you are interested in buying. You need to get information from other consumers who are using the same water supply as you are – this is the only way you’re going to get a fairly accurate review on the softener.

And I would go as far as saying do not buy (or don’t buy) a softener based on one person’s opinion. You want to make sure you can read at least half a dozen different reviews from people living in the same area as you.

This is why I suggest not using the Internet to read Consumer Reports, but instead, speak to people in your neighborhood who use all of the different types of water softeners on the market. This is the very best way to make your decision all of which one to buy.
